The Trustees of Windmills Opportunity Group are delighted to announce that it has received a grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
The money will be used to improve our storage area making it safer and easier to use for both the staff and the children.
It will also allow us to free up space within our Maple Room to create a computer corner and a quiet reading area, which will complement the Sensory Room previously installed.
The Manager, Claire Connell says, “The staff and children are really excited about receiving this grant. We are looking forward to having a dedicated computer corner and a quiet reading area.
“We will use the reading area to share books, do focus activities and small group work which will help the children with social skills and literacy skills, and the computer corner will allow the children to learn how to research their own interests, use educational apps and print out their work.”
