We are delighted for Sarah Lane, Upper Sixth student at Burgess Hill School for Girls, who has been offered a place on the KPMG Audit School and College Leaver Programme.
Last year, KPMG received over 1,600 applications for 150 places.
Sarah said, “I am delighted to have been given this offer. I can’t thank my teachers enough. Throughout the whole process they have been so supportive and full of encouragement especially Mr Dyson, Head of Sixth Form, and Mrs Edey, Head of Careers, who gave me mock interviews, listened to my presentation and gave me invaluable feedback and guidance.”
Sarah will study for her Accounting degree at Durham University. Her tuition fees and accommodation will be funded by KPMG who will also pay her a competitive salary whilst she is working at their London office and studying for her professional qualifications.
Sarah added, “I will spend six years studying on the programme both at university and training in the workplace. I will be able to put my studying into practice immediately.”
Mr Dyson, Head of Sixth Form said, “Sarah has put an enormous amount of time and effort into this prestigious scheme – application form, online tests, test centre and a presentation followed by a challenging panel interview. She chose to present about the fall in Tesco sales and the recent over-declaration of profits, and the rise of the low-cost retailers. This is an outstanding achievement.”
