Cuckfield Museum: talk on Thursday 11th October at 2.30 pm in the Council Chamber, Queen's Hall, Cuckfield by Dr Janet Pennington on 'Witches, Warlocks and Wellingtons' and The Ritual Protection of the Home.

The talk examines some of the ways people in the past protected themselves and their homes from evil. Samples of protective items will be on display and can be handled. Cuckfield Bookfest: takes place for its second year from 4th – 7th October. Tickets are still available for events throughout Saturday and Sunday. With a range of authors and talks to suit all tastes there is even a ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ evening where Rock Bottom by Michael Odell and Rock and Roll is Life by DJ Taylor will be discussed with Peter Guttridge at 8pm on Saturday in Queen’s Hall.

This year there is a fantastic range of activities planned for children and young adults on Saturday 6th October from 10 - 4.30pm in the Baptist Church. There is an exciting competition to design a poster for Bee Boy to show why bees are important! Entries can be brought along on the day for judging where there will be prizes of books for the winner and their school along with a visit by the author, Tony De Saulles. London Welsh Rugby Club Choir: By popular demand, The Friends of Holy Trinity Church Cuckfield are welcoming a return visit from the London Welsh Rugby Club Choir who will perform a concert in the church on Sunday afternoon 30th September 2018 at 2.30 pm. Tickets are £18 in advance, £20 on the door and £5 for children under 16. They are available from [email protected] and Pepperbox in Cuckfield (01444 454298). Doors will open at 2pm.

National Trust Property Talks: A new monthly season of talks at Clair Hall, Haywards Heath begin at 2 30pm on Thursday 13th September.
