Cuckfield

'˜Cuckfield Museum:'s new display '˜Peace at last 1918: Joy and Sorrow' looks at the new world which awaited people after the end of the First World War. From the widow, May Botting, working now to support herself with a circle of Cuckfield women making gloves, to Joseph Blunden, sent with the Army Service Corps to Russia to help supply the White Russian cause in the Civil War which followed the Revolution. These and other poignant stories can be explored until the Museum closes for Christmas on Dec 8th. Museum open on Wed, Thurs, Fri 10-12.30pm and Sat 10-3pm.
