Museum Talk: on Thursday 15th November, 2.30 pm, in the Council Chamber, Queen's Hall. We are delighted to welcome back Ian Everest to give the talk that had to be postponed earlier in the year, 'Tales from the Riverbank', an illustrated glimpse of some of the less well-known aspects of life in the Ouse valley between Lewes and the sea. Areas of interest will include the agricultural, industrial, aviation, sporting and artistic heritage of the area. Muggery Pope, Mount Misery and the sport of kings '“ all will be explained. ISOC Tea Dance: on November 11th from 3-5 at The Queen’s Hall. The tickets are £5 which includes tea, sandwiches, homemade cake, and of course music.

Cuckfield Remembers 1918-2018 Memorial Walk’: The houses of 38 of the Cuckfield men who died in WWI will be marked with poster boards bearing portraits of the men from Oct 29th-Nov 18th. Maps available at Marcus Grimes, Cuckfield Bathrooms, Cuckfield iWear and The White Harte who will also be displaying photos of Cuckfield during WWI. Come and do the walk and remember our young men who died.

‘Photos of 72 Cuckfield men who died in WW1 will be on display in Marcus Grimes’ window until Nov 16th. On the evening of Armistice Day, Ian Pringle will be projecting the portraits onto the side wall of his house, Durnford House, Whitemans Green, for walkers to see as they go up for the Beacon Bonfire at 7pm. Ian is a piper and plans to accompany the walkers with a sad lament on his bagpipes. ‘

Beacon Lighting At 6.30pm on 11th November there will be a walk from the locations of the photographic Trail throughout Cuckfield to assemble at Whiteman’s Green in time for the national beacon lighting at 7.00pm.

Cuckfield Local Food Market: in the The Talbot Courtyard on Saturday 10th November from 9.30 – 12.30pm

Late night shopping evening: on Thursday November 22nd from 6pm to 9pm in Cuckfield. Many of the shops will be open and some will be offering bubbly and nibbles! Come and shop for gorgeous gifts, interior furnishings, lighting, clothes, sweets, smellies, Christmas wreaths and decorations.
