On Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July 150 talented young performers from Turning Pointe School of Dance will be performing in an exciting production of The Little Mermaid.

Based on the original fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen, this production will involve Ballet, Modern and Tap as well as vocal performances.

The school has ambitiously trained up five young men who are studying Dance at Central Sussex College, but until a few months ago had never done a Ballet class before! They have had to work extremely hard to not only master the steps but also perfect challenging lifts and partner work, particularly Jackson Shallcross-Platt from Haywards Heath who was cast in the principal role of the Prince, with Abigail Lambert playing The Little Mermaid. Other characters in the show include Sea Witches, Jellyfish, Lobsters, and Seahorses, so promises to be a magical treat for all the family! Tickets are available from the Martlets Hall- 01444 242888.
