Ditchling Horticultural Society: The 2018 Autumn Show is being held on Sunday 9 September in Ditchling Village Hall at 2pm. Once again the Society has had two very successful Shows this year despite some very unusual weather conditions. The Autumn Show is the main Fruit and Vegetable Show as well as having a Flower and Plant section. It also has thirteen classes in the Cookery section. There also classes for Floral Art, once again the children will be exhibiting Sunflowers either as plants or photos of the plants they have grown. For those who are interested in Photography the Society looks forward to seeing your interpretation of A Tree in Autumn Foliage. Muriel’s Draw will be held as usual and the tickets cost £1 each. When you have had a look around why not have a cup of tea and piece of home made cake for £3. The Society always welcomes input from visitors and members. If you have any ideas as to how the Society can improve the Show or ideas for new classes, there will be a Suggestions Box on the table. The Society hopes visitors will put in their ideas and comments which will be considered by the Committee when they prepare the Schedules for 2019. Ditchling Horticultural Society looks forward to seeing you. Mary Holman, Hon Secretary. Telephone 01273 845167 or email mary.holman@btinternet.com
