Pupils at Lindfield Primary Academy are set to be safer on their walks home from school this January following a donation of hi-vis vests from local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes.
The company, which is working on its Heathwood Park development nearby, provided pupils with hi vis vests as part of its bid to support the local community.
David Wilson Homes sales director Lynnette St Quintin said: “Working in the construction industry, we know first-hand the importance of being safe and being seen. It’s exactly the same for children walking home from school, especially in the dark winter months.
“It was very rewarding donate these hi vis vests to pupils at Lindfield Primary Academy, which will keep them safe on their journeys to and from school.”
Principal Marcus Still added: “We’re very grateful to David Wilson Homes for the kind donation.
“The children have had great fun trying on their new reflective vests.”
