Following a fun packed summer of fundraising events throughout Sussex, Lindfield-based Chip Chuck was very happy to hand over a cheque to St Peter and St James Hospice for just over £700.
Chip Chuck, the new must-have family garden game, was enthusiastically played by old and young at a variety of events over the summer including Lindfield, Maresfield and Wivelsfield Village Days and a number of school fairs. From our first winners at the Cuckfield Fayre in May, to our last, at the hospice’s own family fun day at Beech Hurst in Haywards Heath in late August - there has been some great competition!
Chris Best, Director of Chip Chuck Ltd commented: “We have been so excited to see the interest and enthusiasm for Chip Chuck at the various events, but more importantly we have been blown away by the generosity of people so happy to donate to the Hospice for the fantastic work they do in our local community.”
Plans are already underway to put together a similar series of events for summer 2016.
The ‘events and news’ section of the Chip Chuck website www.chipchuck.co.uk will have details of forthcoming fundraising events once they are booked.
Carol Hughes, Community Fundraiser at St Peter and St James said: “We are so grateful for the support we received from Chip Chuck over the past year. It’s a fun way for the local community to show their support for all the services we provide free of charge. We’ve been providing this care for 40 years and it’s only with the community’s help that we can continue to care for our patients in years to come.
“This fantastic sum of money will be used to continue providing treatment to our patients in Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Lewes, Uckfield and surrounding villages.”
