Earlier this year the Martlets Shopping Centre launched its Burgess Hill photography competition which called out to budding photographers to send in a photo of what they thought best represented the town.
All entries were then displayed at the centre for shoppers to enjoy while the top 10 were uploaded onto the centre’s Facebook page to allow the online community to choose the winning image.
Following hundreds of votes Katie McBride’s image of St John’s Church was chosen as the winner - receiving an impressive 279 ‘likes’.
Katie was presented with a mini tripod, digital photo frame and a professional A3 print of her winning picture, courtesy of QX Digital Photo Centre.
Runners-up Louise Sullivan, who received 209 likes for her ‘On The Bench’ image, and Barbara Soszko, whose photo of Burgess Hill in the autumn received 99 likes, were both presented with vouchers for QX Digital Photo Centre.
