The owners of a party shop hope to continue their fundraising efforts in memory of a Haywards Heath woman by dressing their shop window for charity.

Set up by cousins Heidi Barnaby and Paul Chinnery following the death of their grandma Jean Chinnery, the new venture at Fun Bags Party Shop will raise money for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity by offering customers the chance to celebrate a special occasion in a different way.

Talking about her late grandmother, Heidi said: “She had lived in Haywards Heath all her life and loved children.

“She supported a lot of children’s charities so we thought it would be good to set up a shop where some of the profits went to these charities to carry her legacy on.

“As our window looks out onto a main junction into Haywards Heath we thought it would be a great idea to raise some more money for the Rockinghorse appeal and make people’s days whether it be for a birthday, special anniversary, christening, wedding or even a marriage proposal,” she added.

For £15. all of which goes to the charity, Fun Bags Party Shop will put a background and balloon letters of your choice in the window.

If you would also like character balloons, such as a Star Wars theme or wedding, you would be charged for the balloons but are able keep them afterwards.

Heidi added: “We thought it would be a great way for making more money for such a deserving charity and go that one step further than just sending a card or flowers to someone and making their special occasion really special.”
