Sussex Vale Rotary Club packed and delivered 12 Christmas Hampers into the local community around Hassocks and Hurst.

The club has been doing this for nine years now and as before, the seasonal fare was kindly supplied at cost price by David Knight of Budgens, Hassocks.

President Martin Booth said: “Rotary enjoys helping the local community and at this time of the year it is important to help ensure others can share in the celebrations.”

Members of the club also took to Keymer Road, Hassocks and the High Street in Hurstpierpoint on two Saturdays in December to raise funds for local, national and international projects.

Shoppers donated £379 in Hassocks and over £370 in Hurst during the two mornings and we would like to thank them all for their support.

Every penny donated to Rotary is spent on charitable projects approved by Rotary and these donations really do help to change lives.

The Sussex Vale Rotary Club draws its members from Burgess Hill, Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint and surrounding areas, helping the local community and international projects.

If you are interested in learning more about Rotary International and how you can participate, please contact our club secretary on, he will be delighted to hear from you.
