Sussex weather outlook: Drier and brighter spells on the way

Sussex is expected to see drier and brighter weather for the week ahead, according to the Met Office.

Today (Sunday, August 30), will see a cloudy start with coastal showers.

It will soon becoming drier and brighter inland with some outbreaks of sunshine.

The Met Office said it will be breezy this morning but winds will die down throughout the afternoon, feeling a little warmer. The maximum temperature is expected to be 19°C.

Tonight the settled weather will continue overnight, the Met Office said, with some clear spells, some patchy cloud at times but also a chance of the odd shower.

However it will turn chilly with a minimum temperature of 6°C.

Tomorrow (Monday, August 31) will see a dry day with sunny spells, the Met Office said, with light winds. The maximum temperature is expected to be 19°C.

Tuesday (September 1) will again remain dry and bright with light winds, according to the Met Office.

Rain will arrive from the west on Wednesday afternoon (September 2) accompanied by freshening winds.

The Met Office said it will be drier and brighter again on Thursday (September 3).
