A day centre which could face closure has been visited by the councillor responsible for adults social care and health.
Peter Catchpole, West Sussex County Council cabinet member, visited Burnside Day Centre in Burgess Hill with the co chairman of the learning disability partnership board.
The group discussed the consultation, which runs until Friday, January 9, with staff at the centre.
Peter said: “Visiting Burnside again gave me an opportunity to think about the options that are being considered to improve the day centre service for the future.
“It also gave me the chance to have a good look at the building and to talk to staff and local County Council members.”
Peter added: “The aim of the public consultation is for service users and others to help to shape the future of the learning disabilities day service and to improve it. It is not about reducing funding.
