When blood may have been a red drink
THE MYSTERY of a ‘bloodstained’ baseball bat on a footpath near Horsham is now a closed incident according to police.
A member of the public found the bat with blood on it and immediately around it.
However, the ‘blood’ may be just from a can of red drink.
A police spokesman added the slightly disconcerting alternative answer for animal lovers: “There have been occasions in the past where someone has run over an animal and used something to finish the job.”
