Wivelsfield Annual Parish Meeting - Thursday 23 March: You are invited to attend the Annual Parish Meeting to be held at Wivelsfield Village Hall from 7pm on Thursday 23 March. Come along to chat with councillors, representatives of Sussex Police, East Sussex Highways and local clubs and to hear about what is happening locally. Refreshments and networking opportunity 7-8pm, formal meeting commences at 8pm. Please spread the word amongst friends and neighbours. We hope to see you there.

Wivelsfield Films: Sunday, 19 March 2017 - La La Land – 12A

The story of Mia, an aspiring actress, and Sebastian, a dedicated jazz musician, struggling to make ends meet while pursuing their dreams in a city known for destroying hopes and breaking hearts. With modern day Los Angeles as the backdrop, this musical about everyday life explores what is more important: a once-in-a-lifetime love or the spotlight.

Doors open (and pre-film drinks, cakes, etc.) 7:00pm • Film starts 7:30pm Tickets: £6.00 can be bought online from the Book Tickets link at the top of this page, or in person from the Post Office & Village Stores and The Cock Inn, North Common Road, Wivelsfield Green. Buying tickets in advance helps us to bake enough cakes to match ticket numbers.

Wivelsfield Community Club: (The Tea Club) meet on the fourth Friday of each month in the Wivelsfield Village Hall between 2pm and 4.30pm for a get together with tea, homemade sandwiches, cakes and scones with cream. All welcome small membership fee of only 50p per year. Come along and meet new friends.

The Wivelsfield Short Mat Bowls Club: Join us for exercise and fun in the village hall, Wivelsfield Green, Tuesday evenings at 7pm or Thursday afternoons at 2pm. Beginners Welcome.

Lunch Bunch: This is a drop-in lunch club for mums, dads, grannies and carers every Thursday from 12 noon to 2pm, in Wivelsfield church hall, Church Lane. Enjoy home-made soup and a roll while meeting new friends and chatting to old ones. Children are welcome (but not compulsory!) and lunch will be provided for them with play-helpers are on hand to entertain them while you lunch. Cost: £3 per adult, £1 per child, babies free. East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre: is a registered charity working in partnership with Adult Social Care to provide a no charge mobile information and advice service for Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people living in East Sussex. The vehicle is equipped to offer demonstrations of assistive equipment and hearing screening tests.

The mobile unit will be visiting Wivelsfield on Thursday 13th April 2017. It will be in St Georges Park, opposite Maes Court from 10.30am – 12.30pm.

The bus is accessible to wheelchair users and representatives from both the East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre and Adult Social Care will be available to provide individual information and advice on all aspects of hearing loss.
