Wivelsfield charity auction

Emma and Marie Turner are organising a special auction of promises and a quiz night in Wivelsfield Green in memory of their cousin, Laurence Culyer, who died aged 23.

The event has some great ‘promises’ that you can make a reserve bid for, prior to the auction on Friday, October 4 at the Cock Inn. Every penny will go to research into Epilepsy.

Laurence had been diagnosed with Epilsepsy and died suddenly and unexpectedly in Holland from the condition in December 2012.

Emma said: “Laurence loved music and writing music and was very creative. He was such a kind and generous person and he is a huge loss to the family.”

Laurence was half Dutch and had suffered the loss of his mother to cancer four and a half years earlier.

Emma said: “Laurence is missed be every member of our family and we are hoping to raise as much as we can towards research into Epilepsy so this doesn’t have to affect other families.”

Promises at the auction include a signed T-shirt from Crawley Town Football Club and a spa day at The Grand Hotel in Brighton.

The auction begins at 7.30pm and all are welcome. You can make a reserve bid for an item via email before you arrive by going to: auction
