A 19-year-old woman has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition after a car crashed into a tree.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the B2116, near Partridge Green, at 10.20pm on Thursday (May 14).
The local woman was driving a blue Citroen C1 east when it left the road and crashed, said police.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was driven to Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, in a life-threatening condition at 11.50pm.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “We were there for some time to stabilise and ensure she was in a stable enough condition to travel.”
Two fire crews, from Partridge Green and Henfield, attended.
A police spokesman said the woman was the sole occupant of the car.
Police are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact them via email@example.com or by calling 101, quoting Operation Halton.
