“We took the strategic decision from the start to work with local companies and we have followed this through - it would have been easy to hire London companies but we have chosen local firms where possible.”

The attraction will also be selling local artists’ work in its shop and serving food and drink from the South Downs region in its restaurant and event rooms. It was recently announced that a leading Sussex sparkling wine producer will name the ‘Nyetimber Sky Bar’ – a unique bar inside the glass viewing pod. Harveys beer made in Lewes, apple juice from Wobblegate in Bolney and fish caught off the Sussex coast are just some of the local fare which will be served at British Airways i360.
