World's tallest moving observation attraction working with local businesses

Harveys beer, made in Lewes, will also be available and a leading Sussex sparkling wine producer will name the ‘Nyetimber Sky Bar’ – a unique bar inside the glass viewing pod.

A dozen businesses have already signed up as official partners of British Airways i360, which will expose their brand to the millions of visitors expected at the world’s tallest moving observation attraction.

Commercial partners include Spofforths Chartered Accountants, which has offices in Horsham, Worthing, Chichester and Brighton.

Also signed up are: Brighton CCTV, Curve Information Technology Ltd, DMH Stallard LLP, Flowers Unlimited, L & S Printing, Preston Insurance Brokers, Pure360, Royal Bank of Scotland, Skerritts Chartered Financial Planners, Spofforths Chartered Accountants, TICKETMEDIA and We are Tilt Ltd. All have local offices in Brighton and Hove or Worthing and many also have offices in the wider region and London.

British Airways i360 CEO Eleanor Harris said: “We are really proud to be working with some of the region’s leading firms and developing partnerships to do some really ground-breaking business activities which should benefit the entire region.

“British Airways i360 has an important role to play in the future of Brighton and Hove and we have been committed from the start to working using companies from the region, employing local residents and bringing as much economic benefit as we can to the local community.

“We took the strategic decision from the start to work with local companies and we have followed this through - it would have been easy to hire London companies but we have chosen local firms where possible.”

The attraction will also be selling local artists’ work in its shop and serving food and drink from the South Downs region in its restaurant and event rooms. Harveys beer made in Lewes, apple juice from Wobblegate in Bolney and fish caught off the Sussex coast are just some of the local fare which will be served at British Airways i360.
