Haywards Heath Town Council has finalised a DraftNeighbourhood Plan and residents’ opinions are wanted.

In advance of a formal consultation to be held in the autumn, the Town Council is holding one final consultation on potential housing sites.

Drop-in sessions are being held around the town over the next five weeks. The dates for these are as follows,

The Dolphin Leisure Centre on Thursday July 16 from 6pm – 9pm, Orchards Shopping Centre on Saturday July 18 from 10am–2pm, Haywards Heath Town Hall on Tuesday July 21 from 6pm – 9pm, and Woodside Pavilion Foyer, Bolnore, on Wednesday July 29 from 6pm to 9pm.

Residents are also welcome to pop into the Town Hall on any of the Wednesdays during the consultation period between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

These drop in sessions are being held so residents can talk to town councillors directly about the consultation.

The work to create the draft plan has included taking independent advice from a Planning Inspector, working with Mid Sussex District Council and reviewing local and national changes in planning policy.

There is a considerable amount of background paperwork to this consultation.

It is therefore advisable to either look at the information posted on the Town Council’s website at www.haywardsheath.gov.uk.

The information for the consultation will be available from Monday July 13.

Responses can be handed in at the consultation events or e-mailed to town.clerk@haywardsheath.gov.uk .

They can also be posted to the Town Hall, 40 Boltro Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 1BA.

The deadline for responses will be 5pm on Friday August 7 .
