LETTER: ‘A serious error’

Burgess Hill has two road crossings of the railway both heavily congested and definitely one carries essential services.

To replace a disused road crossing albeit unused due to weakness by a footbridge is a very serious error. Sooner or later the Brighton line will have to have more tracks and to ease the existing bridges modification Keymer Junction bridge could be used. Remember the Victorians built this line without any modern machinery but they could provide adequate crossings for their times.
