LETTER: Changes are daft

Are you aware that there is currently a proposed timetable change and consultation out from Govia (owners of Southern Rail) which if goes through will mean that the Gatwick Express will no longer stop at Haywards Heath (from 2018).

This seems completely daft given that there is currently a £35m regeneration project of Haywards Heath station, which would allow people to avoid parking at Gatwick and catch the train from HH.

This will also cause much pain for HH commuters who have already been suffering at the hands of Southern. The Gatwick Express proposal will see it stop at Burgess Hill (which has I think 60 car park spaces). Is this another ill thought-out plan by Govia who have already demonstrated that they are clearly not fit to be running a business. I am hoping that the public will speak up.
