LETTER: Constant noise

Anyone else fed up of living in an area where there seems to be constant noise from the varying building projects currently in progress in Haywards Heath and surrounding areas?

Surely residents there should be a restriction in place that prevents this work on a Sunday. On the morning of February 19 I was made to leap out of bed by the noise coming from a nearby ‘building site’.

On investigation it was clearing the land of trees and putting them through the chipping machine that breaks them down. I was told the work ‘had to be done today’ by the men doing the work.

This was before 9am and as I write it is now almost 3pm and it’s still on going. I have had to close my windows and I can still hear it from where I live.

Who cares? Well I do!
