This week I met with some of Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Navigators and I wanted to share with your readers the importance of post-diagnostic support for people affect by dementia – not just the person with dementia, but their carers, family and friends.
Receiving a diagnosis of dementia can be a difficult and emotional time. It can be hard to come to terms with it and know what to do next. The charity’s Dementia Navigators act as a guide to help people to find the best support for them. They provide accurate, accessible information to help people with dementia and their carers make informed decisions. To find out more about Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Navigators, call the charity on 01932 855582.
