I write referring to the comment in the Mid Sussex Times (14.01.16 p3 ‘Garden waste collection charge set to rise by £5’) that Mid Sussex District Council are putting aside £440,000 to ensure the future development of Burgess Hill is ‘carefully and positively managed’.

Does Mid Sussex District Council actually think that to allow the demolition of Martlets Hall and not provide a replacement is a ‘carefully and positively managed’ approach to the future development of Burgess Hill?

Perhaps the council would explain.

Janice Henwood,

Burgess Hill Town Councillor

Oakwood Road, Burgess Hill
