LETTER: Grandfather was at Borde Hill NAAFI

I have a photograph of my maternal grandfather, Frank Cannon, (pictured in his World War 1 uniform) on a postcard addressed to him during World War II at “NAAFI 12634R, Borde Hill, Cuckfield, Sussex” from someone in the RAF on the Isle of Man.

Frank apparently worked at this NAAFI.

I was wondering if you could please print a request for any information about the Borde Hill NAAFI in your newspaper. I have so far been unable to find any confirmation of its existence there, but I hope that one of your readers may be able to throw some light on this.
