Like Nicola you reported on (‘Complaint over station parking’ Middy April 21), I have been stung by the parking company at the new station car park.
Having paid by phone before, my vehicle reg was linked to my mobile phone number so no need to display. Without any instruction notices to the contrary, I assumed that paying at one of the new ticket machines in the car park would be similar, as I also had add my reg. The ticket I received looked like a receipt, so I thought I was ok. Also, there was no way they were expecting me to walk up to 100m there and back to display the ticket in my car was there?
I am looking to get the victims of this unjust action together to fight it and wonder if you would help by publicising it. Additionally, more will fall victim without better (or should I say some?) signage, especially at the ticket machine operated by the rail company, who must take some responsibility.
Until then, they stand to make thousands out of us hapless customers.
