What great news that The Frack Free Balcombe Residents Association, who number about 300 members only, from a village population of about 1800 have lost their Judicial Review against West Sussex County Council Planning Committee.

The Judge in the case, heard at The Royal Courts Of Justice found in favour of WSCC Planning Commitee and Cuadrilla. The FFBRA thought that Cuadrilla should not be allowed to Flow Test the well at Lower Stumble for oil, although given permision to do so through the WSCC Planning Commitee. The FFBRA are against Fracking (Cuadrilla have stated they will not frack this site!) and conventional oil exploration, yet these people are happy to run one,two or three cars, fly in planes, etc. polluting the atmosphere everyday, without any consideration where the fuel come from. Approximately 800 objections were given to WSCC with regard to this Flow Test application, but looking at the addresses of the objectors, most did not even live in Balcombe. They came from all over the UK,just like the protestors we had the misfortune to endure through the summer of 2013. Lets hope now that Cuadrilla can carry out their flow test of the well without any more objections/protests in the future!

Malcolm Thomason,

Balcombe
