I write in response to the article and letter from Sean Hanley (Middy 19.11.15).
Haywards Heath Station redevelopment has paid lip service to cycle parking and results are clearly visible around the Station which is likely to continue once a permanent relocated cycle hub is provided but further from the station - bad planning and in addition, the promised cycle parking/workshop/hire on Market Place should have been built prior to the Station re-vamp.
It is essential to serve the Western side of Town with cycle parking, as there is a secondary entrance serving the Station and also access under/over the rail line around Commercial Square is not attractive to cyclists and this is borne out by attempts to build cycle routes to the Station without consulting cycling organisations and producing a non viable scheme at a cost that will mean no action immediately.
