With the Government-appointed Planning Inspector now requiring Mid Sussex District Council to increase its annual housing numbers from 800 to 1026, I would wish to offer my support for the CPRE / Mid Sussex Times’ Keep Mid Sussex Green campaign.
As someone who bothered to vote on 1st December in the referendum for the Haywards Heath Neighbourhood Plan, this latest centrally-imposed increase in annual housing numbers seems a long way removed from the process of local democracy.
