The NHS sometimes gets a bad press but I would like to say through your newspaper how lucky we are in Mid Sussex to have our local Princess Royal Hospital.
Recently my elderly father Victor Gander collapsed at home and was taken by ambulance to the Princess Royal Hospital where he received professional but kind and sensitive care both in the A & E Department and later, on Ardingly Ward.
He sadly died after three days but all the care shown meant he died a peaceful and dignified death. I would like to praise all the staff who helped him from the consultants, doctors and nurses to the assistants. They also helped us, his family, to deal with it and I would like to thank them all for this and their patience and understanding.
