LETTER: Protect our green and pleasant land

I have just read in The Middy (May 14) the story of Robert Worsley turning down an offer of £275 million pounds to sell his land to developers. I say well done.

It literally makes me feel sick to see all this building going up on every scrap of green land that can be seen. So that’s the only way to stop it and it must be stopped before we have nothing left. Kids won’t know what a tree is or will never have climbed one or played in the mud. That’s what we need. We need the land to breathe. I hope that our reappointed MP Sir Nicholas Soames will encourage the government to stop this insanity in our area, so we can still be England’s green and pleasant land and not England’s building sites.
