I wrote to the Middy on the 21/02/2016 regarding the proposed Lidl development in Leylands Road.
This was as a reply to David Henwoods question “What authority does the plan have”. I answered, “a great deal”. However, in this week’s Middy it says that Mid Sussex District Council have approved the site for a change of use from C3 Housing use, to A1 retail use.
The Burgess Hill neighbourhood plan states quite clearly under “Proposed Housing Provision item 2.17”, proposed sites for new allocations within the town centre study area, Victoria Road industrial estate and Leylands Park:
