LETTER: The Martlets Hall is a jewel in the crown

The Martlets Hall is a jewel in the crown of Burgess Hill and it beggars belief that the planned redevelopment does not provide a like for like replacement.

The petition of 6,000 names and growing is a game changer and it is undemocratic of the council not to listen to their electorate and continue to be seduced by consultants and property developers. What should happen now is a referendum so the residents of Burgess Hill can vote on the issue.
