The Management Team of Burgess Hill Community Food Bank would like to express their thanks to the volunteers and supporters who generously gave their time and donations in 2014.
Our regular collections at Waitrose were enhanced by contributions from many individuals and organisations.
This meant that in addition to helping our usual clients, we were able to provide a significant portion
of the food that was distributed in the Burgess Hill Christmas Box donation scheme. We continued to use part of the former Royal British Legion Club for some of our activities, for which we were very grateful and we were delighted that the new owners, Burgess Hill Town Council, agreed to extend this privilege.2015 has already seen many clients needing our support and therefore we continue to welcome the generosity of local people.
Our next Food Drive will be held at Waitrose on Saturday 14 February.
At other times food donations can be left at one of our collection points – Burgess Hill Help Point, the Library, Oakmeeds Community College, the Co-op stores in London Road and Junction Road and Mabel’s Emporium.
Also we now have a page on the MyDonate website.
Our website www.burgesshillfoodbank.org.uk includes information about how those in need can obtain our vouchers and exchange them for food parcels.
