LETTER: Will cash go in education pot?

Court Meadow School and Newick House School were the two special education facilities amalgamated in the recently built Woodlands Meed Special Education School in 2012.

Why did West Sussex County Council NOT sell the site of Court Meadow in Cuckfield and use the proceeds to provide the Key Stage 4 and 5 facilities to complete a through-school at the one site at Woodlands Meed? What plans do West Sussex County Council have as regards the Court Meadow site? It is my understanding that any proceeds from selling the Court Meadow site would be allocated to education - unless there has been a lapse of eight years since its educational use. Are West Sussex County Council waiting for this “lapse” so any monies received from selling this site would NOT go into the education pot?
