Cuckfield’s new overseas signing Jordan Silk hit a brilliant 232 not out in his first innings in England this summer.
Representing the Duke of Norfolk XI against Oxford University at Arundel Castle Cricket Club today (Friday), Silk, along with fellow Cuckfield player Marcus Campopiano put on an unbeaten opening partnership of 364 in 48 overs.
Campopiano finished on 119 not out and their side went on to win the game by 65 runs.
This was Silk’s first game in England this summer and Campopiano’s second after he played for Portsmouth Univerosty against St Mary’s on Tuesday.
Asked what it was like batting with Australian Silk, who plays for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League, Campopiano said: “I can confirm he is an incredible player!”
Campopiano made the news earlier this year when he was part of an indoor cricket match which broke a Guinness World Record.
