Amy proves a perfectpathfinder to put GBon course for victory

Cuckfield rising equestrian star Amy Inglis played a full part in helping the GB junior team win the first of the year’s Pony Nations Cups.

She was the pathfinder in Saturday’s event at Fontaine-bleau in France and produced a double clear to give the team GB challenge a flying start. They then held on to relegate Germany to second place, with Belgium third.

The following day the talented 16-year-old, again on her mother’s 14-year-old chestnut mare Lea Du Genier, was second in the Grand Prix event. There were nine clears before Inglis finished just a second behind winner Millie Allen in the jump-off.

Inglis and her mum Claire returned home in the early hours of Monday after two weeks away. Amy first competed a Moorselle in Belgium where she also finished second in a Grand Prix event.
