Ben Jones in training for World title fight

Crawley boxing star Ben Jones will by flying the town’s colours on Saturday, September 6 at the O2 in London for his first tilt at a World title.

The 32-year-old is currently in training and preparing for his shot at the IBA World Super Featherweight title.

The former English Super Featherwight and current WBO European Super Feathweight champ has a record of 15-4-1 with six stoppages.

Known for his high intensity and persistent work-rate Jones is trained by Crawley ABC’s Paul Devlin.

As a talented amateur Ben boxed in the National ABA Champonships reaching the semi-finals.

Jones said: “This fight has been a long time coming. I’m focusing on training, eating right and preparing for a fight I hope to win. World title clashes are never easy, especially with such a big crowd. I hope all my loyal fans from Crawley travel up to the O2 to watch me in action.”
