Crawley in mourning after death of boxing legend Minter

Alan’s brother Micky, the former light middleweight champion, was on hand to get the run underway at the club gym in Three Bridges, and was overwhelmed by the willingness of the fighters at his club who took part.

Club secretary and coach Ron Parsons, who organised the fun run, said afterwards that he hoped it would turn into an annual event to raise money for Cancer Research, and to ensure that the name of the greatest boxer the town has ever produced will always be remembered.
