Burgess Hill Runners celebrate their members’ achievements

Burgess Hill Runners met at the Hassocks Hotel on Thursday evening to celebrate members achievements over the past year.

The meeting, which incorporated the club’s AGM and was followed by an excellent curry, was very well attended and a wide range of awards were presented.

Meanwhile, on the racing front, the ever-popular Reading Half Marathon attracted a few keen runners, and there were excellent PBs for Marie Carey who finished in 1hr 54 mins 22 second and Linda Russell (1.57.57), along with John Carey who completed in 2.08.08 and Helen Pratt (2.26.47).

Closer to home, the well supported Hastings Half Marathon, now in it’s 31st year, also attracted a few members, Susan Lyle leading the way in 1.49.34 followed by Steve Gray (2.16.44), Karen Sargent and Liz Cooper (both 2.18.33) and Ann Savidge (2.21.05)
