Burgess Hill School for Girls netball teams finish third in two tournaments
Netball teams at Burgess Hill School for Girls finished third in two tournaments this week.
The U16 team played in the Schools’ Netball regional final in Southampton on Saturday 25th January.
The girls began the tournament as a strong team, beating Oxford 6-3 and Abbey 7-5. Unfortunately they lost two games which stopped them progressing to the semi-final, finishing third in their group.
The U12 and U13 teams competed in the Sussex Independent Schools’ Netball Association (SISNA) tournament at Roedean School on Wednesday 22nd January.
The U12 team had an excellent start, beating Mayfield 9-1 and Cumnor House 6-2. It was a long a day of netball with the girls playing nine matches and they finished in third place out of the ten school teams. The U13 team played well in a hard section, but weren’t successful in progressing to the semi-finals.
