Celebrating Julia’s 30 years of work

The course starts on from Wednesday September 25 (7.30-8.30pm) and will be followed by the establishment of a regular session (7.30pm- 8.45pm) throughout the year.

The launch of the karate class coincides with the 30th anniversary of training by Julia Turley. Many thousands of young people and adults have benefited from Julia’s commitment to this traditional form of karate, which puts a focus on the 3 Ks – Kihon basics, Kata forms and Kumite free sparring.

To help celebrate this achievement, an International seminar weekend has been organised for September 14-15 at the Dolphin, where more than 200 students of Renshinkan will take part. Guest of honour will be Grand Master Soke Iwao Tamotsu who is the world advocate and ambassador for Renshinkan Karatedo.

Sensei Julia explained: “Renshinkan Karatedo provides a positive framework for our students, giving them confidence, self awareness and fitness. Excellence drives us forward alongside care, compassion and sensitivity.

“Core to our teaching are the values of discipline, commitment, hard work, honesty and integrity. These valuable life skills are taught in a safe and friendly environment where we can all flourish.”

Stephanie, a former student and 1st Dan from Haywards Heath, said: “Julia Turley has always been and still is, one of the most inspirational people in my life. Karate and Julia have given me the inner strength, courage and discipline I use every day to make it possible for me to casually move to other countries and do the things I’m absolutely petrified of doing.”
