Players to watch: Both Tom Cummins, hoping to find the form he’s shown for us over previous seasons after a winter in Australia, and young leg spinning all rounder Ben Candfield who showed us glimpses last season of what he can do.

How will the 2017 restructure affect the 2016 season: From a 1st XI point of view, it shouldn’t affect us. It does, however, present an interesting challenge for our strong 2nd XI, I think they have the quality to finish in the top half of their league and start at the highest possible level in the new structure.
