The game was played out on the pleasant surrounds of Whitemans Green on the astro pitch.

Hill dug in well led by Colt Curtis Pummell who stayed around for 41 overs for 40 important runs.

He and Thomas Tyers (26) built a good platform from which Hill ended on 139 for 5 declared (a much improved performance). It turned into a tough day for Nomad bowlers as that astro made it tough to get wickets. Darren Hick was the pick with 3 for 36 off 12.

A lovely tea taken outside.

Stephen Oliver (43) and Brian Pote (36) Hunt really got stuck in to the attack and the 50 came up in no time. In fact that partnership was the key to a very comfortable chase and very entertaining it was too. Both made way for skipper Peter Gann (22 no) and Paul Jefferies (21 no) to calmly steer us towards a well deserved win.

Hill skipper Dan Rapson (20) said: “We are really looking forward to the challenge next Sunday. We should have a strong team out and in T20 you never know what could happen, we will be confident of doing well.”
