All started well with skipper JJ sending openers Suthar and Rakesh Patel back to the pavilion and Hayden picking up Kartik Patel all with just 7 runs on the board.

But a 77 run partnership between Harshil Patel (37) & Arup Ghose (64) restored the Ram innings.

A mini collapse saw Ram on 102 for 6 with just 12 overs remaining however with JJ and Hayden returning Nikesh Patel (32) joined Arup and Ram launched themselves at the Saint’s bowlers adding 40 before Hayden slightly halted the onslaught only for Darpan Amin (50*) and Danny Patel (30*) added a further 77 runs.

With a total of 110 runs coming off the last 9 overs Ram finished 237 for 8 off 49 overs.

The regimented bowling and inept fielding costing Saints as was proved when the player’s came off for tea another heavy downpour intervened and reduced the 2nd inning’s to just 31 overs and a target of 150 to gain a winning draw. Saint’s started slowly and soon lost Scott Lonsdale (1) and Iain Murray (14) however Owen Male (32) and Hayden James (25) added 44 runs but their loss Saint’s chances of reaching the target diminished finishing on 100 for 5 off 31 overs and a losing draw.
