Sussex selected for live Sky Sports coverage

Sussex County Cricket Club can confirm that they will be featured live several times by Sky Sports this season, including all four days of the mouthwatering clash against LV=County Champions Lancashire.

The Champions will be welcomed to The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove, between Wednesday 9th and Saturday 12th May, and the hosts will be aiming to defeat the reigning champions in front of the cameras for the second season running, following the nine-wicket victory over 2010 winners Nottinghamshire last May.

Sky will also be making their way to The PROBIZ for one-day action before the end of May when the Sharks welcome Yorkshire Carnegie to Hove for a floodlit Clydesdale Bank 40 affair, a repeat of last season’s live fixture.

The first Friends Life t20 match at The PROBIZ this season sees Hampshire Royals make the short journey east along the A27 on Thursday 14th June, a game that will be televised along with the Sharks’ trip to Chelmsford to take on the Essex Eagles a fortnight later.

Sussex’s two floodlit CB40 trips to the Midlands will both be live, against 2010 Champions Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston on Wednesday 11th July, as well as the clash with Derbyshire Falcons at Derby four weeks later.

The return match against the Bears will also be screened from The PROBIZ on Wednesday 15th August whilst Sky will televise matches from the final round of fixtures in all three formats depending on positions in the table, which potentially could see three further Sussex fixtures live on Sky, not forgetting quarter, semi and finals from the one-day competitions.
