England Hockey squad place for Suzy Clapp
Suzy Clapp, Head of PE at Burgess Hill School for Girls and Horsham Hockey Club player, has been selected for the England Hockey Squad.
Miss Clapp said: “I attended four 1-day trials last autumn following which the selectors made a cut to 35 players. I attended two more intensive 1-day trials in Cannock and Birmingham before receiving the amazing news that I had been selected!”
Over 60 people competed for selection for the England Masters Hockey Squad. The team will represent England at the European Championships in London and the World Cup in Australia, along with several other friendly international matches and tournaments.
Mrs Kathryn Bell, Headmistress, said, “The school is immensely proud of Miss Clapp. A truly inspirational teacher, coach and player.”
