England No 1 heads anall-star cast lined upfor the Sussex Open

England No1 Liam Pitchford faces one of his toughest challenges this year in the Tees Sport K2 Sussex Open this weekend at Crawley’s K2.

Pitchford recently became English champion for the first time at only 19 when beating England colleague Paul Drinkhall. One of his biggest threats will come from leading French player Abdel-Kader Salifou, who comes into the event on the back of fantastic wins in the Croatian and Egyptian Opens.

Sussex players taking part include Haywards Heath-based Sri Lankan coach Amila Thilakarathna. Tickets for Sunday are £8 adults and concessions £4, available from [email protected]
