A win for third-placed Wanderers at The People's Pension Stadium this weekend will guarantee them automatic promotion to League One.

If Bolton fail to overcome John Yems' Reds, they will still secure promotion if they match fourth-placed Morecambe's result against Bradford City.

Crawley have already tasted success against Bolton this season. Skipper George Francomb netted in the second half to give the Reds a 1-0 win at Wanderers on January 2.

And Gilks was wary of the danger posed by Yems' side as the game had 'nothing on it for them'.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the Bolton keeper said: “It is a danger because they play with a bit more freedom and there is nothing on it for them so they can try things they wouldn’t normally do.

"That is always a danger and I can’t see them rolling over because Bolton are coming to town, they are going to spoil our party, while we want to make one.

“It will be a tough game regardless, so hopefully we can just get the three points sorted.

“We have to pretend there are ten games to go, prepare for Crawley with the right mindset. It is a game we need to win to get to where we want to be.”

Crawley Town’s clash with Bolton Wanderers gets underway at 3pm and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
